Kathie Robb Biography

Kathie has enjoyed a successful 20 year career in generalist HR Management as a Personnel Manager with the largest co-owned retailer, John Lewis. In 2014 she spent a year working with the Partnership’s independent critical function, focusing particularly on delivering an enhanced level of democratic engagement within the logistics division.

Kathie is known for being a focused team player who individually and collectively contributes to effective implementation and delivery of business strategy and who is recognised for her exceptional drive, commitment and interpersonal skills and for delivering outstanding results through people.

Representative Client engagement:

As HR Business Partner/Personnel Manager, supported senior branch leadership team through series of major change programmes, leading and advising on all elements of HR for c1000 Partners (employees).

Led a team of specialist HR personnel Partners in branch through a Personnel Transformation Programme spanning 3 years, working closely with individuals to ensure all 14 worked positively to secure alternative employment in their chosen area.

Facilitated a group of democratic representatives to deliver multiple projects within branch including an enhanced reward and recognition scheme, the implementation of a voluntary review of rotas across the whole branch, as well as coaching them to increase the awareness and understanding of their colleagues of the new ways of doing business with a centralised HR function.

As a Democracy Coach, worked across 20 + sites spanning the whole country to liaise with senior leaders and support democratic representatives to engage with and launch a reinvigorated democratic structure. This involved coaching, developing and facilitating small groups in each site to understand process and to build the necessary skills to maximise the opportunities and potential.
