Concern Worldwide

Concern worldwideJeremy worked with me for twelve months from October 2016 to develop a strategy for the Learning and Organisation Development team in Concern, while at the same time supporting me in my own leadership journey. Concern Worldwide is an international humanitarian organisation, working in 26 countries and employing over 3,000 staff, with an annual budget of €180M. The Dublin based Learning and Organisation Development team consists of five team members. Its aim is to help enable Concern achieve excellence in its work by getting the best from their people.

Right from the start I connected with Jeremy, he just 'got it', offering the right balance of pure coaching and drawing on his own experience, when relevant, to suggest ideas and approaches. He took time to listen and understand, in a professional yet accessible way. At times he challenged me, asking the tough questions to get to the heart of issues and opportunities. Importantly he also helped me recognise the achievements we were making along the way. In the last year, I have seen real positive change take place, both in my team and in myself. This change is enabling us to work better in order to create further impact for Concern’s work.

I do not hesitate in recommending Jeremy.

Wise Investment

wise-investmentWise Investment consulted with J Gadd Associates in order to get some training for our Trustees, as well as producing a Trustee Guide and Induction Booklet. JGA helped us really enhance the trustee role and enable the role to become a core part of the company. The Trustee Guide and Induction Booklet truly capture the essence of Wise, our culture and how important Employee Ownership is to us and our future. Both documents have strengthened communication and engagement, and there is now a greater understanding of the Trustee role and how all employees can contribute to the company. Jeremy and Kathie are very knowledgeable and professional, and genuinely understand how much Employee Ownership can benefit a company.

Working with JGA has been really beneficial to us as a company, and to me personally in my trustee capacity. From the initial contact, right through to implementation, Jeremy and Kathie were keen to really understand our culture and this is clearly reflected in the documents. We had regular catch ups throughout the process and our opinion was always taken into account. It has been a real pleasure working Jeremy and Kathie.

Cambridge Weight Plan

logo_cwpJ Gadd Associates were extremely helpful in conducting a perception survey to ascertain our understanding of Employee Ownership and our employee stakeholders culture.

The results of the survey provided valuable information and definite direction to what steps we would take in progressing our employee ownership journey.

Benchmark Holdings plc

bmk_stacked-leftFollowing the transformational acquisition of INVE Aquaculture in December 2015, we organised an interactive two-day meeting for our management team to fully 'step outside of the box’ to align our vision, mission and values and leverage opportunities for the enlarged group.

J Gadd created a relaxed, open and enthused environment. This combined with the ability to challenge the team where appropriate provided us with a platform in which we will take forward — personable and professional facilitators with seamless organisation from start to finish.

PB Design

pb-designThe reason for commissioning J Gadd Associates was we were new to employee ownership and needed support which had proven experience in developing an effective employee representation body.

Working with JGA provided that support and enabled our democratically elected representatives to grow into their roles and benefit their colleagues and the Organisation. We/I would recommend them to others in a similar position because of their experience, knowledge, passion, and integrity.

Save the Children

www.savethechildren.co.ukJeremy offered his time to Save the Children in 2015 as part of J Gadd Associates Real Community Support pro-bono program. Save the Children have a successful coaching program supported by a pro-bono coaching network, however we had limited internal knowledge of team coaching. The offer presented a great opportunity to work alongside Jeremy to develop our internal knowledge of team coaching. The process of working with Jeremy was engaging, insightful and at times challenging. We were able to we increase our knowledge of team coaching and identify the most appropriate team for Jeremy to work. Below are some of the comments from the team that worked with Jeremy

Impact of the team coaching

On individuals

  • I think it gave us some clarity around what our common ground is and the value of having a shared view of the organization. We're greater than the sum of our parts
  • Improved my ability to see what I should be saying no to. Clearer on what is in scope and out of for my role and the team.
  • I think the conversations we have had on the team have been beneficial as they have been about the bigger picture. This has helped me with clarity on understanding what my role should be focused on and the priorities for the team

On the team

  • I think it gave us some clarity around what our common ground is and the value of having a shared view of the organization. We're greater than the sum of our parts
  • Bringing us together in terms of feeling that we are on the same page and facing the same challenges
  • Helped the team feel more cohesive and have a clearer identity

The team coaching provided a great foundation for some of the changes the team later went through.
